COVID-19 support for businesses
Business Rates Relief
Following the Government's announcement of new Business Rates relief fund of £1.5 billion for businesses affected by COVID-19 outside the retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors - West Suffolk Council will work with its partners at Anglia Revenues Partnership and will update this webpage when it has more information about what this will mean for West Suffolk businesses.
Additional restrictions grants
Following the 31 March 2021 deadline, our Additional Restriction Grants schemes have now closed to new applications. Once we have processed all applications received before the 31 March deadline we will review what is left of our local allocation alongside the further £1.34 million allocated to West Suffolk Council by Government from 1 April 2021. We will then make further funding available to businesses to support them safely reopening. We will update our grants pages and social media with more details from the week of 19 April. Please bear with us and don't contact us to ask about these grants as this may slow down us bringing the scheme forward.
COVID-19 restrictions grants
West Suffolk Council is responsible for administering Government financial support for businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since March 2020 the Government has launched a number of different grant schemes. Each of these schemes has different criteria depending on the time period it relates to, the restrictions that were in place or the types of businesses who can apply.
The time periods for which grants are currently available are set out below. By clicking on the different buttons below, businesses can access the detailed eligibility criteria and the relevant application forms for the various schemes.
