On 1 April 2019 Forest Heath District Council and St Edmundsbury Borough Council will be replaced by a single district council called West Suffolk Council. It will entirely replace the borough and district councils but will continue to deliver the same services while finding improved ways of supporting communities, businesses and the local economy. Over the next few weeks you may notice changes to the website, forms, letters and emails, and there will be limited access to some of our online systems as we prepare for the creation of the new council.
This grant is for owners to:
You must own the property and live in it as your only or main residence.
The maximum grant is £20,000. You could receive up to 100% of the cost of any works up to this limit.
If the total grant exceeds £1000, the grant will be registered as a charge on the property. If the property is sold or transferred, the grant will have to be repaid in full. Where central heating is provided or boilers are repaired or replaced, it is a condition that draught-proofing, loft insulation and cavity wall insulation is installed to the council’s minimum recommended standard.
Use the Home assistance grant online enquiry form for more information and how to apply.
