• GOV.UK - Sporting Future: a New Strategy for an Active Nation. Through this strategy the government looks to tackle the high levels of inactivity across the country. It focuses on five key outcomes: physical wellbeing, mental wellbeing, individual development, social and community development and economic development.
• Sport England – Towards an Active Nation. Sport England responded to Sporting Future by developing its own strategy that will deliver against the government’s five key outcomes. The strategy sets out a commitment to funding activity for children under the age of five and family based activities.
