Things to remember

We always try to collect your bin at a similar time each week but now and again we may have to change our rounds. You can help us by making sure that:

  • you put the right items in the right bin
  • your bin is put out by 6.00am the morning of your collection day
  • all wheeled bin lids should be fully closed when the bins are presented for collection – this is to reduce the incidence of spillages, avoid damaging the lifting machinery and to reduce the potential for injury to collection operatives. If wheeled bins are presented with open lids or partially open or ajar, they will not be collected
  • any recycling that will not fit in your blue bin is put in council issued blue sacks; we will collect a maximum of four.
  • you can put cardboard side waste in a cardboard box next to your green lidded bin for collection if your green lidded bin is full of flattened card and paper, but this must remain clean and dry for collection. If the crew arrive and it is wet or dirty unfortunately they will not be able to take this, even if it was dry and clean when placed outside due to it not being accepted at the end destination.

Remember - all your bins are collected from the same collection point.

Occasionally, the bin collections can be affected by weather.
