Admin Assistant Apprentice (Housing Options and Homelessness)

We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Housing Options and Homelessness Team. You will be supporting them by assisting in placing customers into accommodation, producing statistical reports and general administration tasks as well as experiencing working in a supportive and friendly environment within a fast paced and proactive organisation.

While working, you will complete a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration, for which you will be entitled to paid study time to complete; this is linked to the national apprenticeship scheme. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while learning and developing new skills.

This apprenticeship pathway will give you the hands on experience, knowledge and confidence to lead you into your chosen career and give you the chance, to fully realise your potential.

You do not need any work experience, but you will need to be willing to learn, have good communication skills and GCSE’s in Maths and English. You must also meet the requirements to be eligible for an apprenticeship. The job is temporary for up to 18 months. 

This post is based at both West Suffolk House, Bury St Edmunds, and Forest Heath District Council offices in Mildenhall.
