COVID-19 support for businesses
Additional Restrictions Grant
If you have previously received an Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) under either our open or closed schemes, you do not need to do anything as we will be paying you automatically for the period 16 February to 31 March 2021. You should receive an email from us by Monday 8 March 2021. Please do not try to reapply as this may delay grant payments.
If you haven’t applied for our ARG schemes, we will be reopening them to new applicants next week.
We are paying ARG in line with the Government grants to 31 March after which future payments will be subject to funding.
Business Restart Grants
The Government has also announced Restart Grants and we will update this webpage when we have more details.
West Suffolk Council is responsible for administering Government financial support for businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since March 2020 the Government has launched a number of different grant schemes. Each of these schemes has different criteria depending on the time period it relates to, the restrictions that were in place or the types of businesses who can apply.
The time periods for which grants are currently available are set out below. By clicking on the different buttons below, businesses can access the detailed eligibility criteria and the relevant application forms for the various schemes.
Businesses may be eligible for more than one of these time periods. While businesses must complete separate forms for each, the maximum number of forms that needs to be completed is three. Previous successful applicants will only need to check the business and payment information they previously submitted and make a declaration, if the person who most recently applied is completing the form.
