COVID-19-Message from Councillor John Griffiths, Leader of West Suffolk Council
“Once again, the country has been put into national lockdown but once again West Suffolk and our council is up to the challenge and playing its part. We will continue to concentrate on supporting our communities and the most vulnerable as well as helping our businesses and providing services. At the same time we are supporting our partners, such as the NHS who are at the forefront of this battle. This is of course a very worrying time for people, especially with the extra challenges of home schooling but support is in place to help our residents.
What is crystal clear, is that everyone has to play their part to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. It is up to us all to do our bit to stick by the guidelines, stay home, protect the NHS and save lives. Suffolk, and the country, needs you to protect yourselves, your loved ones and your communities by staying local and following the basics of washing hands, using face coverings and keeping safe by leaving space. Where possible please also support our local businesses who both now and going forwards need your help. West Suffolk is known for being good neighbours and looking after one another and I have every confidence that our great communities will continue to do this.”
