COVID-19 Licensing update

Information for the following licences:

  • alcohol and entertainment
  • animals
  • gambling
  • charitable collections
  • scrap metal
  • sex establishments
  • street trading and vending
  • temporary event notices (TENs)

Appointments

With immediate effect the licensing team will no longer be meeting with customers. All communication will need to be done via telephone or email. Public access to West Suffolk Council buildings is closed until further notice, but the offices will continue to be used to deliver services.

Applications

All licensing applications that are unable to be completed online must be submitted electronically to licensing@westsuffolk.gov.uk.  Due to the circumstances we will accept all supporting documentation being photocopied or scanned or photographed and emailed to licensing. 

Please be aware that some new applications may not be able to be processed until it is business as usual, if visits are required. If you have an application to submit and you need advice, please contact the licensing team.

Payments can be made by debit or credit card. Once a complete application has been received the Licensing team will contact you to take a payment.
