Local Council Tax Reduction Scheme 100 per cent discount for 2023-24
As part of West Suffolk Council’s work to ease the cost of living for communities it held a public consultation which showed people were in favour of a 100 per cent Council Tax discount being given for the year 2023-24 to households on the lowest incomes who are in the Local Council Tax Reduction Scheme. You can read more on this decision and the public consultation in our news section.
In addition to the above, The Government announced on 19 December 2022 that there will be a £100m scheme to help councils offer Council Tax discounts to the most vulnerable households while ensuring that key services that people rely on, can continue to be delivered.
We are awaiting more detail from Government about this additional funding and will update this webpage in January when we have more information.
