Academy Green Careers event to find ‘Greenest of Them All’

West Suffolk Council had a great day talking to year 9 and 10 students at Sybil Andrews Academy in Bury St Edmunds about how sustainability is being embedded in all our activities.

The Green Careers event was organised by the Academy who invited community groups and businesses with strong commitment to sustainability to attend. 

The students then quizzed the visitors about their work and cast votes, which are now being counted, to see who will be ‘Greenest of Them All’.

The invited organisations work in all kinds of capacities, from food waste, to net zero, to reducing carbon footprint. Feedback describes the event as vibrant and diverse, and an engaging atmosphere.  We look forward to supporting this event in coming years.
