The Rows and Newmarket go to the polls on Thursday 30 September

Residents from West Row, Beck Row and Newmarket will be heading to the polls on Thursday 30 September.

In West Row and Beck Row, people will be voting to elect a new district councillor to represent The Rows Ward on West Suffolk Council while West Row residents will also be voting to elect a new parish councillor. Both seats were previously held by the late John Smith.

Meanwhile in Newmarket, residents from the Studlands Ward will voting to elect a new town councillor to represent their ward on Newmarket Town Council following the resignation of Councillor Yasmin Fitzgerald.

In all there will be six polling stations which will be open from 7am to 10pm. West Suffolk Council is putting arrangements in place to help electors stay safe at the polling station such as the use of hand sanitiser and face masks. Voters also have the option to apply to vote by post or by proxy and can download applications from www.westsuffolk.gov.uk/elections.
