Draft masterplan consultation - Policy AP3 land north of Rougham Tower Avenue (former Rougham Airfield), Bury St Edmunds

Audience: residents, businesses, community groups, statutory consultees

Open: 20 July 2026 to 7 September 2026

We are inviting residents, businesses, community groups and statutory consultees to comment on the draft masterplan for the area known as land north of Rougham Tower Avenue (former Rougham Airfield), Bury St Edmunds

Masterplans are an essential tool in planning proposals for development with the local communities. A masterplan helps guide future development on a site by identifying opportunities which include new homes, employment, infrastructure, community uses, open spaces, transport improvements and environmental enhancements.

West Suffolk Council are formally consulting on the draft masterplan, produced by Crest Nicholson and we would like to hear your views during this seven week consultation. During the course of the consultation, Crest Nicholson are holding two drop in events.

We encourage you to review the draft masterplan and submit comments. Your feedback will help us understand local priorities, identify any issues or opportunities that may have been missed, and inform the masterplan going forward.
