Garden Waste Collection Service
| You can now sign up online for the service that runs form 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026. If you have already signed up for payment by direct debit, you don't need to do anything. Payment will automatically be taken at the beginning of June. The sum payable for the service that runs from 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026 is £53 for each bin you subscribe to. Please note: For new subscriptions, no garden waste bins will be emptied before 1 June 2025. |
The Garden Waste Collection Service is a convenient way for all residents in West Suffolk to dispose of their garden waste. Please make sure for new subscriptions or card payer renewals, you subscribe at least two full working days before your collection is due to give us time to process your application. Our online forms are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are an easy way to sign up to the service.
We recommend signing up by direct debit as renewal is automatic each year, unless cancelled.
You can have up to four garden waste bin subscriptions for each property.
The two-weekly collection uses your existing brown bin – when you apply online, please ensure you select whether a bin is required. If you want to report your current bin is damaged or your bin is missing, please contact our customer services team on 01284 776119 or email customer.services@westsuffolk.gov.uk to arrange for a bin replacement.
To find out when your brown bin is collected use our Find my nearest service and enter your postcode into the 'Search for a location' box and select your address. Your bin collection information will be displayed.
