Car parks
![]() Parking controls reinstated as high streets open up to more visitors
As more people start to work in and visit town centres again, car parking charges are to be reinstated across West Suffolk from Monday 15 June to manage demand on spaces. |
The council operates over 30 car parks in the area. All our car parks (unless otherwise stated) are pay and display. Machines are located in each car park and do not give change. If you want to report a faulty ticket machine in any of our car parks, contact us on 01284 757415.
Instead, you can use our cashless service which operates in Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill and Newmarket. This is managed by RingGo and you can use this service from any mobile device. We provide Blue Badge parking in all our car parks. For privately operated car parks you can visit: Parkopedia

As of 12 April 2021 there will be variations on the Traffic Regulation Orders within West Suffolk. As part of the legal procedure notices have gone out with the updated prices but parking increases continue to be paused. The law requires notices to include a date, but this simply allows the council from that date to apply the already agreed charges when we think it is right. The situation remains under review. For more information see the press release: Parking charge increases paused as council continues to back local communities
