West Suffolk Local Plan Main Modifications Consultation

Following the examination hearing sessions during November and December 2024 the inspectors have advised that consultation on the West Suffolk Local Plan Main Modifications can proceed.
A schedule of proposed main modifications to the West Suffolk Local Plan has been prepared for consultation along with modifications to the policies maps.
The sustainability appraisal and habitats regulations assessment have also been updated to take into account the proposed main modifications.
A separate schedule of additional modifications dealing with more minor matters is also available for information only.
What are main modifications?
‘Main modifications’ are changes to the local plan that are required to resolve any soundness or compliance issues that the inspectors identify. A schedule of main modifications is available to view below.
What are additional modifications?
‘Additional modifications’ are minor changes that the council would also like to make to the local plan to improve the presentation or to address or correct any typographical or factual errors, which are not necessary to resolve soundness or legal compliance issues. These additional modifications are not examined or recommended by the inspectors but are published by the council for information only.
