“This is the way” – The Mandalorian joins Moyse’s ahead of film debut

02 Jan 2026

Cllr Ian Shipp, West Suffolk Council's Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture looks at a production made Mandalorian helmet believed to have been worn by Pedro Pascal from Season 1.

Fans of The Mandalorian will know just how significant it is for a Mandalorian to remove their helmet let alone for it to then be loaned to a museum.

But thanks to a partnership between the West Suffolk Council and Kudos Memorabilia, a hugely successful exhibition which has already been delighting families and film fans alike, is about to get even more exciting.

On display at Moyse’s Hall Museum in Bury St Edmunds ahead of the franchise’s new film debut in The Mandalorian and Grogu this May, visitors can see a production made Mandalorian helmet believed to have been worn by Pedro Pascal from Season 1 and an original production made IB-94 blaster pistol prop.

As well as the Star Wars spin off, there’s new production used pieces from Star Trek and Harry Potter, plus a piece of cultural screen treasure from the world of Alien joining the line-up at Moyse’s Hall.

Moyse’s is already displaying the screen worn Captain James T. Kirk outfit from Chris Pine’s 2016 Star Trek film. Trekkies can now also get up close to a Klingon disruptor from Star Trek: Enterprise.

Thanks to a little Kudos Memorabilia wizardry, the museum has also captured an original Golden Snitch prop from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. That’s 150 points to Moyse’s, and a rare chance to see a Quidditch prop up close as the film marks its 25th anniversary.

And if that wasn’t enough, the exhibition has also landed the Nostromo with oil refinery from Alien (1979). This replica model was constructed by renowned model-maker Martin Bower, who worked on the original film.

Many of these new additions will join Kudos Memorabilia’s The Art of Cinema showcase featuring Michael Keaton’s iconic Batman cowl and Ana de Armas’ dress from No Time to Die, alongside an extraordinary range of screen used costumes and props, including the Princess Diana “Revenge Dress” worn by Elizabeth Debicki in The Crown and Kevin Costner’s cowboy outfit from Yellowstone.

The Art of Cinema is part of the wider Sci-Fi and Action exhibition at Moyse’s which opened in October and includes celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws and the 70th anniversary of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Visitors to Moyse’s annual Sci-Fi and Action Exhibition can enjoy The Art of Cinema at no additional cost. Both exhibitions run until Sunday 22 February 2026.

Steve Rivers, Managing Director of Kudos Memorabilia, said: “Film and television have the power to inspire all generations, and it’s fantastic to see families able to get so close to pieces from stories they love. Seeing the reaction when visitors come face to face with something like a Mandalorian helmet or the Golden Snitch is exactly why exhibitions like this matter.”

Cllr Ian Shipp, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture at West Suffolk Council, said: “We are continuing to invest in a programme of activities and events that help our communities thrive, and our Sci-Fi and Action exhibition is a big part of that. This year’s partnership with Kudos Memorabilia has already proven to be a huge hit with families and serious film fans alike.

“With exciting new pieces from Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter and Alien now added, there has never been a better time to visit. If you haven’t been yet, what are you waiting for? And if you have, we look forward to welcoming you back.”

There’s also a chance to meet Batman. Carl Newman, Michael Keaton’s double in many scenes from the 1989 Batman film, will be appearing at Moyse’s on 30 January 2026. More details can be found on: Moyse's Hall Museum - I’m Batman – An Evening With Carl Newman.
