Bin lorry on its rounds

West Suffolk Council is calling on residents to help spread the word about changes to bin collection days over the Easter holidays, so family, friends and neighbours don’t miss a collection.

Bin collection dates will change due to the Good Friday and Easter Monday bank holidays, between Friday 3 April 2026 to Saturday 18 April 2026.

Cllr Dave Taylor, Cabinet Member for Operations at West Suffolk Council, said: “We are extremely grateful to the bin-fluencers in West Suffolk who help share information about the bin collection changes over the Easter holidays. A quick reminder to friends, family or neighbours to put their bins out on the right day really does make a difference.

“We appreciate our residents continually making the effort to recycle and reduce waste. Every small action helps, and if you’re unsure whether an item can be recycled, please visit: Suffolk Recycling -What to do with? (A–Z).”

Normal collections will resume from Monday 20 April 2026. Residents can check their updated collection days online at: My West Suffolk
