Residents have the chance to say what they love, like and loathe about parks in West Suffolk.

West Suffolk Council is asking residents to share their opinions, thoughts and ideas on six local Green Flag Awarded parks:

  • Abbey Gardens
  • Aspal Close
  • Brandon Country Park
  • East Town Park
  • Nowton Park, and
  • West Stow Country Park.

The survey is designed to help the council understand how residents, community groups and visitors use the major parks in the district, how satisfied they are and what improvements they would like to see.

The survey is available at Parks and Open Spaces Satisfaction Survey.

This is part of West Suffolk Councils commitment to providing high-quality parks and open spaces that are clean, safe, welcoming, and accessible for everyone to enjoy.

Cllr Ian Shipp, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture, said: “West Suffolk is home to some amazing parks and green spaces, including six which have Green Flag status. These are important places that allow people to connect with nature and each other, improve health and wellbeing and build thriving communities.

“I encourage everyone to complete the survey, whether they are a frequent or occasional user of any of the six parks. The information gathered will help shape future management and investment, ensuring that our parks continue to meet the needs of our communities now and in years to come.”

The survey is open from Friday 17 July - Sunday 6 September 2026 and takes around 10 minutes to complete.
