August bank holiday bin collection changes

West Suffolk Council is calling for bin-fluencers to share information on bin collection changes to make sure friends and neighbours don’t miss a collection due to the August bank holiday.

All bins will be collected one day late on the week commencing Monday 31 August 2026. Normal collections will resume from Monday 7 September 2026.

Cllr David Taylor, Cabinet Member for Operations, said: “We’re always grateful for the help of West Suffolk bin-fluencers in helping friends, families and neighbours to put their bins out. We are also asking residents to continue their efforts with the new better recycling scheme, as together we can all reduce waste and re-use more.
