A food business is defined by law
A food business is any undertaking, whether for profit or not, and whether public or private - that carries out any activities related to any stage of production, processing, and distribution of food (including for eating). The term 'food' includes drink.
This includes premises that:
- cook food
- distribute food
- make or manufacture food
- operate online
- prepare food
- sell food
- store or handle food
