Environmental information regulations
Under the Environmental Information Regulations Act 2004, people have the right to access environmental information. This includes information on:
- the state of the environment such as air, soil, land and water
- any factors that may affect the balance of the environment such as energy, waste, emissions or radiation
- any policies or legislation that affect the environment
- how the information we have is being used and the actions implemented
- the state of human health and safety
- the economic impact of factors and activities affecting the environment
There are some instances where we will not be able to disclose the information (such as if there is a pending court case or personal details which are protected under the Freedom of Information Act 2000)
If you would like to access the information held by us, you can request it by emailing: foi@westsuffolk.gov.uk. You will need to specify:
- what information you want
- your name
- contact details (or an address for correspondence)
All enquiries will be dealt in the same way as Freedom of Information requests.
