Keaton’s Batman the star in West Suffolk’s exciting new exhibition

The iconic cowl created for Michael Keaton in Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman is coming to West Suffolk as part of an exciting exhibition that will attract fans and families alike.

Tickets are now on sale for the Annual Sci-Fi and Action Exhibition at Moyse’s Hall which opens next month. And this year the West Suffolk Council run museum is offering an additional exhibition within an exhibition – all for one entry price.

The Art of Cinema exhibition held in partnership with Kudos Memorabilia will feature a production made “I’m Batman” Keaton’s cowl. The showcase exhibition inside the Museum’s Great Hall will also feature other screen used pieces including Ana de Armas’ iconic dress from No Time to Die, Elizabeth Debicki’s Diana costume from The Crown and the cowboy outfit worn by Kevin Costner in Yellowstone. On top of this there will be a chance to see other screen pieces used by Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Christian Bale, Chris Pine and more Batman items from the late Val Kilmer.

Alongside the Art of Cinema, Moyse’s marks the 70th anniversary of the first publication of JRR Tolken’s completed trilogy - The Lord of the Rings. Props, historic collections, trails and quizzes will all feature.

And just as you thought it was safe to go back into the museum, we will also be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws including production used artwork.

There will be a whole lot more of sci-fi fun including a blaster from The Empire Strikes Back and other Star Wars production used props. Younger visitors can also take part in other family activities as part of our rockets and robots fun.

Our Action and Sci Fi exhibition is always very popular with residents of all ages from across West Suffolk as well as visitors to the area – and this year we have the added bonus of The Art of Cinema in partnership with Kudos Memorabilia offering two exhibitions for the price of one. This is just one of the ways that West Suffolk is continuing to invest in leisure and culture to help our communities thrive.”

The Sci-Fi and Action Exhibition opens from Saturday 25 October and will run until 22 February. The museum is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm with lasty admission at 4pm.  It is open 12pm to 4pm on Sundays with last admission at 3pm. There will be extended opening hours on Sunday October and Sunday 2 November when the museum will be open until 5pm with last admission at 4pm. Under 5s go free but must be accompanied by an adult.
