Shopmobility

Shopmobility allows people to book an electric wheelchair or scooter to support them in being able to get out and enjoy the town shops, cafes, restaurants, market and other attractions.

Shopmobility in Bury St Edmunds

In Bury St Edmunds the Shopmobility scheme is run by EcoCarriers Bury St Edmunds, the not-for-profit social enterprise that promotes sustainable transport in the town.

Shopmobility in Newmarket

The service is free in Newmarket and operates from Newmarket library at the Guineas shopping centre.

Booking

You will need to bring a form of identification with you so you can register. You can book in advance by calling Newmarket Library on 01638 661216 or you can see what is available on the day.

When can I use equipment?

During Newmarket Library opening hours.

The service is not available on bank holidays.
