West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village

This unique, reconstructed village and Anglo-Saxon museum, surrounded by the 125 acres that make up the West Stow Country Park, is a must see for history enthusiasts. The St Edmundsbury Chronicle gives more information on the Anglo-Saxons. The Anglo-Saxon village, based on the site of an excavation, depicts life in early Anglo-Saxon times (circa 420 to 650 AD). This is a fascinating journey through time for children and adults alike and, with our living history days, we have literally brought the past to life. You can find out about events and history days on the West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village and Country Park website or keep up to date with news at Facebook - West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village.

Visit What's On West Suffolk to find out information on events.

Opening times

Daily 10am to 5pm (last entry 3.30pm in winter and 4pm in the summer).

Please be aware that dogs on a lead are welcome in the country park but only assistance dogs are permitted in the Anglo-Saxon village due to the presence of livestock.
