Parks and open spaces available to hire:

- George Lambton Play Fields
- Hardwick Heath
- Haverhill Recreation Ground
- Nowton Park
- West Stow Country Park
We also have other smaller open spaces that are available for hire, please contact the Parks department for more information.
Please note that we do not permit circuses with performing animal acts to operate on our land.
Fitness classes
If you are interested in using one of our parks for regular outdoor fitness classes, please refer to section 4 of our fees and charges document below before contacting us.
We will need to see proof of qualifications, public liability insurance and a risk assessment specific to the activity you will be offering in the location you will be operating from before any classes can commence.

- The Water Garden in Abbey Gardens
- Bushcraft area in Nowton Park

Making a booking
If you would like to organise an event at one of our open spaces and your event is likely to involve more than 50 people in attendance please follow the link below to apply:

Please note West Suffolk Council requires all applications to be received a minimum of 10 weeks prior to the event.
If your event is for a gathering of less than 50 people, or if you are not yet ready to make an application but have questions, please contact the Parks team by emailing parks@westsuffolk.gov.uk.
Please note that minor events still require a minimum of 14 days notice in order that documentation and fees can be received and checked before your event date.
