Check your bin collection days, and check it twice!

West Suffolk Council is calling for Christmas bin-fluencers to share information on bin day changes to make sure family, friends and neighbours don’t miss a collection over the holidays.

Over the festive period, there will be changes to bin collection dates between Thursday 25 December 2025 to Saturday 10 January 2026.

Cllr Dave Taylor, Cabinet member for Operations said: “We are very grateful to West Suffolk's bin-fluencers for helping spread the word about putting bins out on time. Your support in encouraging friends, families, and neighbours to put out their bins really makes a difference. 

We appreciate our residents for their continued efforts in recycling and reducing waste, as every small action counts. If you are unsure whether an item can be recycled, please visit: Suffolk Recycling - What to do with? (A-Z).

And finally, a big thank-you for the wonderful support shown to our bin crews all year round. I know they would like to wish all the residents they serve a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.”
