Supporting information
We have produced a number of documents which are not part of the local plan but which support, explain and monitor the local plan and how it was prepared.
- Authority monitoring report (AMR) 2024 to 2025: (formerly annual monitoring report) reviews the progress of the implementation of the local plan (previous years reports are available on request).
- Housing delivery study (March 2019): this report reviews past and current rates of housing delivery and determinants of demand and makes recommendations how to accelerate housing delivery in West Suffolk.
- Housing delivery action plan: the housing delivery action plan has been reviewed and is now complete. This report provides information on what has been achieved through the delivery plan together with next steps.
- Assessment of the supply of housing land in West Suffolk (August 2026): The council has demonstrated it has a housing land supply of six years worth of housing land.
- West Suffolk Local Plan 2045 Timetable (June 2026): The Government has published legislation and guidance that requires all local authorities to change the way they prepare local plans. To ensure we meet the new legal requirements we have published a new local plan timetable. The new timetable formally replaces our February 2025 local development scheme and timetable. The timetable is for preparing the West Suffolk Local Plan 2045, which will cover the administrative area of West Suffolk. This timetable may be updated as the plan progresses. This timetable takes effect from 16 June 2026.
- Statement of community involvement (SCI) (December 2018) and Addendum - amended practice in response to COVID-19 pandemic (June 2020): this sets out how we will consult with you on proposed planning policy document and planning applications.
