Local land charges
Due to a system upgrade, planning and building control information was not up to date between 22 and 28 April. This has now been resolved and all data is accurate and up to date. If you accessed our system during that time period, please do so again to ensure that you have used the correct information.

What are land charges
A land charge is a restriction or claim on a property, like planning conditions or tree preservation orders. It is checked when buying a house.
There are two parts:
- local land charges, form LLC1: shows charges (for example planning consents). You can access this at GOV.UK Search for local land charges on land and property
- local authority search, form CON29: which covers planning, highways and environmental details.
