Renewable energy

Our Environment team offers advice and support on energy efficiency and renewable energy to the public, businesses and other groups. We welcome any approaches from parish and town councils wishing to work with us in support of our energy efficiency agenda. Contact us for more information.

The Suffolk Community Advisor Service is also able to provide support to parish and town councils on a range of issues. These include

  • advice on energy generation or saving measures for village halls
  • technical support for accessing funding or
  • to support communities banding together to negotiate a better deal with gas and energy suppliers.

The fund provides £20,000 to help communities conduct feasibility studies into what renewable energy sources are suitable for their area.
