Apply for building regulations approval

Before you apply for building regulations, please view the documents below:

• Please contact the Building Control department for a quote on 01284 757393 or email building.control@westsuffolk.gov.uk. For more guidance please read the guidance on Building Regulation charges
• What type of application do I need?
• Is the work exempt?

Once you have all the information you need, you can submit and pay for your application using the link to the Building Control area of the Planning Portal in the link below.

Alternatively, download one of our application forms (Full Plans, Building Notice or Regularisation) and return it to building.control@westsuffolk.gov.uk

If you or your agent has submitted your application without payment, please pay the fee online by clicking the link below. Choose the application type from the drop down list and quote the reference number given when you or your agent submitted the application. Inspection fees can also be paid using the button below making sure you quote your invoice number.
