The bulky waste collection service resumed on Monday 29 June and we ask that residents who book a collection leave the items outside for 72 hours before they are collected, where practical. We are currently only taking bookings up to four weeks in advance. No bookings will be accepted for collections over the Christmas and New Year period from Monday 21 December to Friday 15 January 2021.
We reserve the right to suspend collections for this service at short notice due to COVID-19 restrictions. Under these circumstances we will either offer to reschedule the collection when restrictions allow, or offer you a refund.
Thank you for your understanding.
If you cannot recycle or donate bulky items such as your furniture or white goods (for example fridges or washing machines) then we can collect and dispose of them for a fee. We can collect a wide range of items including:

We charge £32.64 for up to five items, any additional items are then charged a further £3 each. We will collect and dispose of up to ten bulky items in one collection.
Bulky item collection is by agreement only and you have to pay in advance. We have limited space on our vehicle and only items listed at the time of the booking will be collected, no changes or items can be added after the booking is made. This is a non refundable payment. On an agreed date the items will be collected from 6.30am onwards. We cannot allocate time slots.
If you receive Council Tax reduction (not including single person or student discount) you are eligible to a 50 per cent discount on the charges above. This discount will only apply to one collection each year.
